The Elsevier Basic Sciences Olympiad (EBSO) is a national-level competition designed for first-year medical and dental students. Organized by Elsevier, this competition provides students with a platform to assess their knowledge and readiness for their first-year medical examinations.
To register, please visit www.elsevierolympiad.com. After registration, you will receive an email confirmation along with your password for login. Once logged in, you'll be able to participate in the examination. Please keep your password handy, as you will need it to log in again for Round 2.
No, there is no fee to participate in EBSO; it is completely free of charge.
Registration Period: May 15, 2025, to June 30, 2025
Round 1 Exam Start Date: June 1, 2025
Round 2 Exam Start Date: June 15, 2025
All first-year medical and dental students are eligible to participate in EBSO 2025.
Exam questions will be based on your first-year curriculum, we recommend reviewing your course thoroughly.
The information collected during registration will be used to provide updates regarding EBSO and other student engagement programs organized by Elsevier.
