Instructions for EBSO 2025

Welcome to the Elsevier Basic Sciences Olympiad (EBSO) 2025! Please follow the instructions below to ensure a smooth registration and examination process:

1. Registration Process

- Visit the Registration Portal: Go to (http://www.elsevierolympiad.com) to complete your registration.

- Provide Required Information: Fill out the registration form with accurate details, including your name, email address, college name, and course of study.

- Submit Your Registration: Once you have filled in all the necessary details, click the ‘Submit’ button. You will receive an email confirmation with your unique login credentials.

2. Exam Preparation

Review Study Materials: Exam questions will be based on your first-year curriculum, we recommend reviewing your first-year course materials and notes to familiarize yourself with the exam content.

3. Exam Details

Exam Format: Both the rounds will consist of multiple-choice questions covering basic science topics relevant to first-year medical and dental studies. The exam window will be open 24/7, so that students can appear for examination with comfort.

Round 1 Schedule: Round 1 will begin on June 1, 2025. Ensure you log in to your account to participate in Round 1.

Round 2 Schedule: Round 2 will commence on June 15, 2025. Details regarding Round 2 will be shared with eligible participants after Round 1.

4. Technical Requirements

- Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection to avoid disruptions during the exam.

- Device Compatibility: Use a computer, laptop, or tablet with a supported web browser for the best experience.

5. During the Exam

- Time Management: Be mindful of the time limit for the exam. Plan your time wisely to answer all questions.

- No Outside Assistance: The exam is to be taken individually. Please refrain from seeking assistance from others during the examination.

6. Post-Exam Procedure

- Results Notification: After completing Round 1, results will be communicated via email. Successful candidates will receive information regarding Round 2 participation.

- Participation Certificate: Once you have completed Round 1, you will be able to download the participation certificate from the portal.
