Terms and Conditions for EBSO 2025

By participating in the Elsevier Basic Sciences Olympiad (EBSO) 2025, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

• Only first-year medical and dental students in India are eligible to participate in EBSO and to receive rewards and scholarships.

2. Subjects

• The Olympiad will focus on Basic Science subjects, including Anatomy, Oral Anatomy (for Dentistry students only), Biochemistry, and Physiology.

3. Examination Format

• The examination will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions to be answered within 45 minutes.
• Each question carries equal weight, and there will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
• This is a single-attempt test; participants cannot save and exit during the examination. It is essential to submit the test within the specified time.

4. Time Management

• A timer will be displayed at the top of your window to help you keep track of the time remaining. A prompt will appear on your screen when only 2 minutes are left.

5. Question Format

• For Medical Students: Each question will have 5 options. Select the correct answer and click on "Save" to proceed to the next question.
• For Dentistry Students: Each question will have 4 options. Select the correct answer and click on "Save" to proceed to the next question.

6. Certificate of Participation

• After submitting your exam, you will be redirected to download your Certificate of Participation immediately.

7. Prizes

• The top 30 winners will receive prizes worth INR 10,000, along with a certificate and a trophy.
• The top 3 winners from each participating college will receive exciting prizes.

8. General Conditions

• By participating, you agree to adhere to all rules and guidelines set forth by the EBSO 2025 organizers.
• The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.

9. Acceptance

• Participation in EBSO 2025 constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
